VISA, MASTERCARD, AND AMEX ACCEPTED. All items are offered subject to prior sale. All items are as described and may be returned for any reason undamaged within 7 days of receipt. Unobtrusive ownership notations are not normally described. All items remain the property of The 19th Century Shop until paid in full. Except for clients known to us, our policy is to ship upon receipt of payment. Libraries and institutions will be billed to suit their requirements. Prices do not include shipping costs, which we add according to the means of shipping. We ship all orders within the continental United States by UPS ground delivery UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUESTED. We ship all other orders by surface mail, air mail or UPS, according to your preference. For orders shipped within Maryland, we add 6% sales tax, and for orders shipped to New York, NY sales tax applies. We will contact you to confirm your order and to notify you of the costs of shipping.

Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
